We take pride in honoring the accomplishments of our alumni through our Signature Events. These prestigious awards recognize those who have demonstrated exceptional achievement, leadership, service, and dedication to their communities.
Our current signature events that have open nominations are the Hall of Fame and Distinguished Alumni Awards, Talon Leadership Awards, Parliament of OWLs, and 40 Under 40 (coming soon).
We accept nominations all year round for our award and induction ceremonies. Each signature event has unique criteria and requirements so please review thoroughly. You can complete a nomination below or click the hyperlinks to take you to the award page.
Hall of Fame (Spring 2024 Nominations Close – January 17): Hall of Fame connects alumni and the Florida Atlantic community to celebrate and recognize the accomplishments from a variety of industries. Nominees must have reached and remained at the pinnacle of their field for a period of seven to ten years sufficient to demonstrate perseverance and maturation.
Talon Leadership Awards (Fall 2025 Nominations Close – July): The Richard L. Schmidt Alumni Talon Award is given to an alum who exemplifies outstanding professional or volunteer leadership, and unwavering dedication to Florida Atlantic. The recipient of this award must be an alum of Florida Atlantic University and have graduated more than five years ago or have 10 years of professional experience prior to receiving this award.
Parliament of OWLs (Fall 2025 Nominations Close – July): Parliament of OWLs recognizes the services and leadership achievements our students have shown during their tenure on campus. Current seniors and young alumni who have graduated within the years of 2022 and 2025 are eligible to be nominated. Additionally, nominees must have held or currently be holding an official student leadership position and/or demonstrated incredible leadership and service while at Florida Atlantic.
