You can purchase your plate at any time by filling out the form on this page. The Indian River County Tax Collector’s office will reach out to provide instructions to easily update your plate online.
Florida Atlantic is working in partnership with the Indian River County Tax Collector’s office,* and they will process tag requests for any Florida resident in any county. A representative will contact you to complete your purchase. Online orders will be processed within 10–14 business days.
Florida Atlantic license plates are also available for purchase at any county’s tax collector’s office. To find your local office, click here.
*Under F.S. 668.6076, email addresses are public records. If you do not want your email address released in response to a public-records request, do not send electronic mail to this entity. Instead, contact them by phone or in writing.
With each plate purchase, Florida Atlantic receives $25. This fee goes directly towards supporting student scholarships.
Each year you keep your Florida Atlantic branded plate, the university will continue to receive $25 per year for scholarships.
The previous version of the Florida Atlantic license plate is still valid. You only need to replace your license plate every 10 years according to Florida law, and your ongoing $25 fee will still support scholarships at Florida Atlantic.
You can still switch over to the new Florida Atlantic license plate. Purchase it online, by mail, or visit your local tax collector’s office. You will be charged for the new plate, usage fee for the plate and processing fee (additional fees may apply).
Registration renewal begins 3 months before the registrant’s date of birth. This is the ideal time to switch your plate.
If you just renewed your plate or if you are on a multi-year renewal cycle, you can still switch over to the new Florida Atlantic license plate. You will be charged for the new plate, usage fee for the plate and processing fee (additional fees may apply). License plate registrations are not prorated.
In Florida, all license plates are required to be replaced every 10 years.
