The Richard L. Schmidt Alumni Talon Award is given to an alum who exemplifies outstanding professional or volunteer leadership, and unwavering dedication to Florida Atlantic. This prestigious award honors those who have positively impacted the Florida Atlantic community, inspiring others through their leadership and service. This award recognizes an alum for their exceptional ability to lead with integrity, compassion, loyalty, and a steadfast commitment to serving others.
The recipient of this award must be an alum of Florida Atlantic University and have graduated more than five years ago or have 10 years of professional experience prior to receiving this award. The recipient must be able to accept the award in person at the Talon Leadership Awards on Oct. 30 during Florida Atlantic Homecoming Week.
