We take pride in honoring the accomplishments of our alumni through our Signature Events. For many of our awards, the celebration of our honorees takes place at our signature events. Our prestigious awards recognize those who have demonstrated exceptional achievement, leadership, service, and dedication to their communities.
We accept nominations all year round for award and induction ceremonies. Each award has unique criteria and requirements, so please review thoroughly. You can complete a nomination below or click the hyperlinks to take you to the award page.
Our current awards that have open nominations are the Talon Leadership and Service Awards, Parliament of OWLs, and Hall of Fame.

The Hall of Fame & Distinguished Alumni awards celebrate and recognize alumni accomplishments from a variety of industries. Nominees must have reached and remained at the pinnacle of their field for a period of seven to ten years to demonstrate perseverance and maturation. Click here to learn more.

The Talon Leadership and Service Awards ceremony was established in 1997 and is organized by Florida Atlantic Alumni and Community Engagement every fall during Homecoming Week. The event unites alumni, students, campus and community leaders in a celebration of leadership, support and service to Florida Atlantic.
The recipient of the Richard L. Schmidt Alumni Talon Award must be an alum of Florida Atlantic University and have graduated more than five years ago or have 10 years of professional experience and displayed leadership and service to Florida Atlantic. If you progress to the next stage of the nomination process, you will be required to submit a video response to a provided prompt. Click here to learn more.

Parliament of OWLs recognizes the leadership and service achievements our students have shown during their tenure on campus. Current seniors and young alumni who have graduated within the years of 2020 and 2025 are eligible to be nominated. Click here to learn more.
