For the last ten and a half years, Maylee has worked full time, providing for her two daughters while also attending college part time and she has finally earned her master’s degree in Public Administration from FAU.
“It is important to me to show my daughters and my nieces and nephews that no matter how hard life gets you have to keep fighting for what you want to accomplish…Instead of giving up, it gives fuel to my fire to keep going and accomplish my goals”.
Maylee recognizes the amazing professors at FAU that believed in her more than anyone and pushed her to be the best version of herself. Because they believed in her, Maylee was able to go on to receive her Master’s.
“You will reach your goals whether it takes four years or a decade.” Maylee wishes current students to pursue their goals and reach the ultimate accomplishment, “So just keep going.”
