Brett Gavagni has developed innovative technology at IBM for more than 18 years and is currently a Lead Watson Health Cloud Engineer. He is working ontechnology that is transforming the highly regulated life sciences and healthcare industries to improve patient outcomes. He is a senior enterprise software architect and engineer with experience designing and developing highly scalable business solutions for Fortune 500 companies. His work at IBM includes successfully leading small to large worldwide product development teams on pioneering speech recognition, analytics, mobile, cloud and artificial intelligence technologies.
Named as an inventor on more than a dozen U.S. and worldwide issued software patents, Gavagni has earned IBM’s prestigious Master Inventor award for consistent contributionand cultivation of IBM’s Intellectual Property Portfolio. He has contributed to external technical standards organizations and been a speaker at multiple technical conferences. He is arecognized career development mentor for his contributions in nurturing and developing technical talent within the IBM community.
Gavagni’s current entrepreneurial endeavors are focused on delivering value to his clients by applying business analytics expertise as an agent and advisor for HellerUSA Industrial andCommercial Real Estate.
Gavagni earned an MBA with a concentration in innovation and technology from FAU and a BS in management information systems from Florida State University. He is an avid volunteerfor local entrepreneurship activities that include serving as an FAU College of Business ITOM Advisory Board Member, and previously serving as an FAU Business Plan CompetitionJudge and Boca Raton Startup Weekend Mentor.
