Dr. Eric H. Shaw received his BBA from FAU in 1972, as well as his MBA in 1973, afterwards accepting an invitation to join FAU faculty as Instructor of Marketing. Dr. Shaw earned his Ph.D. at Temple University and has also taught at Rutgers University as well as the University of Miami. Dr. Shaw returned to FAU in 1982 and held several positions across the University, from Dean of the College of Business to being a former member of FAU’s Board of Trustees. Dr. Shaw has won the award for Excellence in Undergraduate Teaching three times, and has won the Distinguished Teacher of the Year award in the College of Business twice.

Dr. Shaw has authored over eighty articles, papers, and monographs in leading academic journals, as well as serving on editorial and review boards for several international academic societies and associations. Dr. Shaw was inducted into the Alumni Hall of Fame at Florida Atlantic University, and received FAU’s Talon Award for Faculty Leadership, among many other feats. As Professor Emeritus, Dr. Shaw continues working with Ph.D. students, serving on several FAU committees and journal review boards, as well as publishing research and engaging in scholarly activities. He also serves as a marketing consultant and an expert witness in business.
