Aleeka Perryman was born in Detroit, Michigan and moved to Florida at a young age, where she attended Moore Haven High School. After graduating in 1997, she enrolled at Florida Atlantic University as a Business major with a degree in Health Administration. During her time at FAU, Aleeka was very involved in student life, taking positions in organizations such as Orientation Leaders, WAVE Peer Educators, and also worked at the campus wellness-center. After joining the Delta Sigma Theta Sorority in 1999, she eventually served as chapter president and president over the National Pan Hellenic Council. 

Since graduating in the spring of 2002, Aleeka has remained in South Florida, serving the area in a variety of ways. She has worked for companies such as ANC, Cheney Brothers, and DHL, all the while striving to be a positive pillar in her community. As a current member of the North Broward County Alumnae Chapter (NBCAC) of Delta Sigma, Aleeka stands as the Vice President. Her chapter serves the greater North Broward area through programs aimed towards mentoring young women. From scholarships to giving away bikes for Christmas, the NBCAC chapter helps these young ladies in a multitude of ways. Aleeka continues to devote her time to FAU, serving as a collegiate advisor to the Xi Epsilon chapter of  Delta Sigma Theta on the Boca Raton campus.
